Meeting Thea

Wow...what a truly amazing day!
We arrived at Shepherd's Field Children's Village around 4:30 to discover that they would bring Thea to us immediately.  We did not think that we would get to see her until tomorrow morning, or at the most we might get a glimpse of her today.  Needless to say, we were very excited, but also thrown off a bit as we had come straight from the airport off our long day of traveling.
Thea's ayi was holding her and gave her to us...what an absolutely surreal moment.  Thea was so adorable...she didn't cry, but just looked at us one by one and examined us very closely and carefully.  Sara from Shepherd's Field was surprised she didn't cry as she is usually quite sensitive.  We spent the evening with her on our bed here playing with her and letting her check us out.  Our hearts melted when she smiled for us for the first time and even laughed too.  She already adores Mataeus and looks for him if he leaves her sight.  Her and Mataeus are now sleeping soundly, and she has still yet to cry...so blessed are we!  Glen, mom and I are extremely exhausted as we've been up for over 24 hours...time for some sleep...will share more tomorrow.
God is so very good...we are so thankful that He chose us to be Thea's forever family...she is such a doll!
