We had a special surprise today...Sara from Shepherd's Field sent us one last picture of Thea before we will finally meet her...what a wonderful gift!

Our Adoption Timeline
March 2003 ~ First called the Adoption Agency and inquired about adopting from China... we learned that we did not yet meet the criteria as we both had to be 30 years old to quilify. We decided that maybe God had other plans for us and that we would try having a biological child before adopting (this was not in 'our' original plan).
January 2005 ~ Mataeus Ian Marcel was born!
May 2006 ~ Initial meeting with Adoption Agency
June 2006 ~ Homestudy started: first visit with social worker
October 2006 ~ DTC (dossier to China)
February 2007 ~ Received LID (log in date) from China of Feb.10th, 2007
December 2008 ~ Nathaniel Kenneth was born!
October 2010 ~ Homestudy Update (reflecting our switch to China's Waiting Child (WC) Program: children with special needs)
January 2011 ~ Registered with FOI (Family Outreach International) with the WC program
March 22, 2011 ~ Received Referral for Thea!
March 23, 2011 ~ Sent 'letter of intent' (LOI) to China saying YES!!!..we want to adopt this beautiful baby girl!
March 29, 2011 ~ Received PA (pre-approval) from China to Adopt Thea!
April 8, 2011 ~ Signed the Letter Seeking Confirmation (LSC)
May 16, 2011 ~ Received our 'Notice of Coming' (Travel Approval)...we are now officially allowed to travel to China to go and meet Thea and bring her home...yeah!!!
May 27th, 2011 ~ Gotcha Day!! We finally met our sweet baby girl at Shepherd's Field Children's Village!
May 30, 2011 ~ Official adoption paperwork completed in Thea's birth province (Jiangxi)...she is offically ours!!
June 9th ~ Finally home in Canada with our sweet (and fiesty) little princess!
Today ~ Enjoying having our baby girl home with us and adjusting to being a family of 5.

SOOO excited to follow your journey! I hope these next three days fly by for you guys! Will be praying for you guys! I'm so glad to have gotten to know you over these past few weeks! Still can't believe you will be in all the same places we just were!
